Assemble The Future
The Assemble The Future Program is a partnership between South Coast Business and manufacturers in Coos, Curry, Douglas, Marion and Yamhill counties. Its purpose is to deliver a unified approach to serve industry, support economic development, and guide public workforce investments in the region.
We work with industry to create sector strategies to identify and remove barriers that stand in the way of cultivating and sustaining a skilled workforce in the sector of Manufacturing. Under the guidance of local companies, we have three goals for the sector to advance the manufacturing workforce in the region.
- Implement a social media campaign spotlighting manufacturers while debunking manufacturing myths.
- Develop a pipeline for the emerging workforce where the manufacturing sector is the industry of choice.
- Advocate and further the recasting of existing manufacturing training programs to bootcamps and accelerated programs that pair with apprenticeships and on-the-job training which are responsive to employer needs.
